Gudauri is a paradise for ski lovers.

1. Upon arrival in Gudauri, enjoy a delicious meal and get ready for a skiing adventure the next day. We were lucky enough to experience snowfall on our second day, making skiing amidst the snowflakes incredibly romantic. 2. Due to heavy fog on the third day, visibility was low, making it less suitable for novice skiers. We took the cable car to the summit to overlook the sea of clouds and the snowy landscape. 3. Dining: The town offers numerous restaurants and bars, such as Drunky Cherry, La Suite, Restaurant Platforma, and Friends. There are also some dining options midway up the mountain. Georgian cuisine, which tends to be salty, is the primary offering. Alternatively, you can buy groceries at the Spar supermarket and cook at your accommodation. 4. Georgia is the birthplace of wine, and it's available in every restaurant and supermarket. It's definitely worth a try. Skiing: There are many ski equipment rental shops near the hotels. Ski boards and snowshoes typically cost around GEL 50 per person, while helmets, goggles, gloves, and snowsuits cost approximately GEL 10-20 per item. Renting a full set costs around GEL 80-100 per person. One person's passport is required as a deposit. This is mainly for helmets and gloves; goggles are less of a concern. If your own clothes and pants are waterproof, you can wear them. We rented skis (including boots), helmets, goggles, and gloves for a total of GEL 80. 5. There are many ski instructors at the resort, with rates starting from GEL 100+ per hour. You can actually learn by observing and listening to instructors teaching others, then practice on your own. This is often enough to get started. Gondolas or cable cars can take you to the summit and intermediate/advanced slopes. A single cable car ride costs about GEL 14, three rides cost GEL 40, and a day pass is GEL 70. Multi-day passes are also available. For beginners, one or three cable car rides are usually sufficient. You can take the cable car to the highest point at sunset to enjoy the snowy scenery and the sunset. Besides skiing, there are other activities: Snowmobiling costs around GEL 80 per trip. Paragliding is also available. The snow scenery here is truly beautiful.
