Exploring Old Town Lijiang - Yunnan

Lijiang is a fantastic city in Yunnan Province. It is one of China’s best-preserved ancient towns. Form the roof of the old houses you can see The Jade Dragon Snow Mountain which make this city very scenic. It is truly beautiful and should definitely be on your Yunnan itinerary. You should stay and explore the ancient city which is the historic centre. Enjoy the amazing wooden architecture, little canals and bridges. This city is listed as a UNESCO world heritage site. Walking on the streets is fun, there are many landmarks such as Temples, museums, markets and little typical restaurant to sit and enjoy a glass of wine, tea and local food. We came to Lijiang for one night but I would recommend at least to spend two nights or three to experience the city without rushing all time.
