Yulin Grottoes

Perhaps the fame of the Mogao Grottoes is too overwhelming, causing many people to overlook another grotto not far from it—the Yulin Grottoes! In fact, the Yulin Grottoes are truly 'low-key luxury with substance.' The artistic achievements of many murals there are difficult for even the Mogao Grottoes to match, such as those depicting Journey to the West. You must visit, and if you do, go early in the morning. Additionally, the special grotto is limited to 200 visitors per day, and entry is on a first-come, first-served basis without reservations!
