Pedra del Penol from Medellin

I took 6:45am bus which seems running frequently from Medellin North bus terminal. I got to the terminal by a bus, there is also metro station nearby to get there. It took about 2hrs. Pedra del Penol, we have to get off before the Guatape town. We can see the huge rock before that, so it was easy to notice the place. From the bus stop to the entrance, have to walk up on the steep hill before the rock entrance. Local people were driving up without the walking to there. It also has a option to take a taxi. It will take 10-15mins by walking. Actually that walk is a bit hard too. When I got to the gate, it was not crowded. The entrance fee was colombian 30,000pesos. We didn't need to wait for buying the tickets. There are 740steps. Many people take some break to get to the top, it locates above 2000m sea level, so the breathing isn't easy. However, the view from the top was stunning. We can see the view around 360 degrees. It is special unusual view. Its a easy day trip and worth the climb. #penol
