Children's library in a historic building

This historic building with its statue gardens has been converted into a children and teenager's library. It is known as Guangzhouxinshao'er Library or the District Children's Hall. Formerly it was known as Yong'an Hall. It is now a library for children to read and borrow all kinds of fiction, non-fiction, academic books and more. The garden has a large statue which represents the liberation of China after the war, there is a nearby square called Haizhu Square with many more statues to see. We walked from the Sacred Heart Cathedral, past this library and along the river to the other historic buildings and Shamian Island. #staycation #historicculture
