Haizhu Wetland's 3.2km Bauhinia Blossom, a Foot-Saving Guide

🌸 The annual 3.2km Bauhinia Blossom Road at Haizhu Wetland is in full bloom again (I took these photos on March 17th). Due to the overcast weather, I used the SH (greenish) filter on my Sony camera. 🌸【Flowers at Haizhu Wetland】 Bauhinia: Mainly Hong Kong Orchid Trees, interspersed with white bauhinia. Primarily distributed along Bauhinia Avenue (both sides of the road), and on one side of the orange bridge (near the river). Bougainvillea, Orange Trumpet Vine, Lantana, etc., randomly distributed along the path from the north gate to the south gate. Cherry blossoms: Not yet in full bloom, expected to be in full bloom around April, in the cherry blossom grove near the south gate. It's recommended not to visit yet (there's one in bloom near the north gate). 🌸【Bauhinia Blooming Period】Approximately from now until early April 【Tips】 🎫 Even though the bauhinia blossoms stretch for 3.2km at Haizhu Wetland, you'll still need to wait for the best photo spots. 📴 Haizhu Wetland is open every day throughout the bauhinia blooming season, including Mondays. 🚍 If you're not up for a lot of walking, you can use the electric shuttle bus within the park, 10 RMB/person. (There are no bicycles or other transportation options within the park). 📸 Here's a photo map to help you save some steps↓↓↓ Picture 3: After entering the main gate, walk towards Bauhinia Avenue. Take photos of the pond towards the main gate from the first building near the entrance. Picture 4: By the waterside in the direction of the cherry blossom grove. Photography tip: Zoom in fully and shoot upwards or towards the river to avoid people and prevent distortion of your subject (only capturing their chin 😂, or creating a "big head, small body" effect). Picture 7 (left two): Taken on the orange bridge. Picture 7 (top right): Taken on the island towards the cherry blossom grove. Picture 7 (bottom right): Taken on the sidewalk of Bauhinia Avenue. Picture 9: The Intangible Cultural Heritage Market at the north gate has many antique crafts and food, all related to photography or flowers. Picture 10: The waterfront platform on the way to the cherry blossom grove. Picture 11: On the way to the cherry blossom grove, notice the "Haizhu Wetland" sign on the ground, and the plants on both sides form an arch. It looks best without people in the arch, so you might have to wait. Picture 12: The railing outside the north gate.
