Diyuan Exploration

After the new Guangzhou Metro Line 11 opened, there was a station called Diyuan, and I was always curious about its origins. It wasn't until I arrived at the destination that I discovered it was an old community within the former paper mill area. Driven by curiosity, I came here to explore. The Diyuan community is an old neighborhood surrounded by new residential buildings. Residents still live here, and elderly people gather in small groups to chat or play cards. In addition to this, there's the Fan Family Ancestral Hall, built by the Fan family to commemorate Fan Zhongyan. What's also interesting is that, to enhance the aesthetics of the area, residents have planted various flowers and potted plants, creating a truly pleasing sight. You can even spot kittens playing and resting here. If you're interested, feel free to come and take a look, but please be mindful not to disturb the residents. To get there, take Guangzhou Metro Line 11 to Diyuan Station and exit through Exit C.
