Best time to visit in Feb / Mar where you have beautiful flower season now! You can take photo with the Canton tower at the background. The rapeseed flowers stretch as far as the eye can see, like a golden ocean, sparkling under the sun. It's incredibly romantic! It's even better than the colorful rapeseed flowers in Dali, and the photos are amazing. Every shot looks like a movie still! And the purple trumpet trees, having been named "Guangdong's Best Flower Viewing Spot" for seven consecutive years, are not to be missed! This lantern festival brings together elements from 11 cities in the Greater Bay Area. It is currently the largest lantern festival in mainland China with the most lantern groups, the longest exhibition period, and the most participating cities. Of course we have to come and check it out! ! This lantern festival uses modern technology and light and shadow art to showcase the Greater Bay Area’s pioneering, enterprising, open and cooperative spirit. The Lantern Festival is centered on Xiyue Avenue and arranged according to the “one axis and five parks” principle. It features 218 sets of light scenes, over 10,000 colorful lanterns, and connects five distinctive lantern festival parks. This is the lantern festival with the most lanterns I have ever visited. My favorites are "The Goddess with Flowers in Her Hair" and "The Monkey King". I had been watching them on my phone before, but I didn't expect the on-site effect to be even more shocking than the promotional video. There are also multiple art stages in the Lantern Festival. During the exhibition, there will be traditional folk activities such as floats, Yingge, Cantonese opera, martial arts, juggling, puppet shows, etc., as well as novel performances such as aerial airplane performances, Hongyun Modern Show, Smart Manufacturing Pioneer, and Starry Night Patrol.
