It is the only sculpture-themed park in Guangzhou and the largest in China! The park has mountains, water, and a large lawn where you can camp and roll around on the grass. It's a great place to relax and enjoy the sculptures on a weekend. - The park is located in Baiyun District, but it is actually between Yuexiu Park and Luhu Park, so it is not far from the city center. - The sculptures cover a wide range of themes, making it a sculpture version of the Guangzhou Museum. They condense over 2,000 years of Guangzhou's culture and history. There are grand altars that tell the history of the Nanyue Kingdom, works that depict the life of Guangzhou's citizens, modern sculptures of urban men and women, and even statues of celebrities like Michael Jackson (some people even leave flowers at the statue). - The sculptures are very expressive, like frozen dances, and you can feel the life force bursting out of the stone. - My favorite sculpture is "The Glory of the Ancient City". The giant soldier holding up a golden seal stands on an altar like Atlas holding up the sky in Greek mythology.
