Ji Yun Yao: A B&B located in a century-old village. It takes about an hour to drive from downtown Guangzhou. Facilities: The hotel has good facilities. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, and there are children's facilities and a swimming pool. Environment: The hotel is on a mountain top with beautiful natural scenery. There are rice fields for taking photos. Sitting in the room or at the front desk is very relaxing. It's a great place to unwind. The hotel is also well sanitized, and there are not many mosquitoes in the room. Service: The environment is unique, but the service is average. We ordered a bottle of wine for dinner, but we were told there were no ice buckets left. They brought us a plastic bucket from the kitchen. We took the unfinished wine back to our room and asked for an ice bucket, but we were told there were no ice buckets left. They gave us a bag of ice in a plastic bag and told us to make do. The restaurant staff were very casual, but maybe that's just the local style. Room: The room is spacious with a private bathroom, shower, and bathtub, as well as a small courtyard. The room is well equipped with an air purifier and a water dispenser. The breakfast is great, with both Chinese and Western options. Everything is freshly made. The fries are delicious. It's better than a buffet and less wasteful. There is a terrace, a children's play area, and a "creative house" where you can paint, play chess, and more. The country roads are great for walking, and there is a large swimming pool. It's a great place for team building, couples, and families.
