Every exhibit here tells a story of navigation, making me feel proud and respectful of China's long maritime history. 😇 📍Location: Guangzhou Maritime Museum 💰Tickets: Free 🚇Subway: Line 13, Nanhai God Temple, Exit C2 🅿️Parking: Free 🕰️Opening hours: Tuesday–Sunday 9:00–17:00 (closed on Mondays) ✅Permanent exhibition "Sailing the Seven Seas - Guangzhou and the Maritime Silk Road in the Tang and Song Dynasties" The exhibition is rich in content, including ancient shipbuilding and navigation technology, cultural relics from the Nanhai No. 1, porcelain, spices, etc. ✅The exhibition is divided into five parts: "Sailing the World," "Millennium Commercial Capital," "Fragrant Porcelain Road," "Institutional Creation," and "Connecting the World." It tells the history of trade and exchange across the seven seas, recreating Guangzhou's glorious achievements in the development of the Maritime Silk Road. ✅Third floor exhibition: Meet Huang Dong~ A big world of a "Shizi" in the Qing Dynasty. The exhibition is told from the perspective of Huang Dong, a "Shizi" in Guangzhou during the Qing Dynasty, in the form of a "memoir" story. It tells the story of his interaction with his international friend John Bradby Blake in the first person, showing the prosperity of Guangzhou as an important node on the Maritime Silk Road in the 18th century, as well as the profound cultural exchange between China and the West.
