The Guangzhou Maritime Museum, located in Huangpu District, Guangzhou, is a maritime-themed museum. It is the only "maritime" themed museum in Guangdong Province. This unique-looking museum is located on the east side of the Temple of the South Sea. There are many valuable cultural relics in the museum. One of the valuable cultural relics is the epitaph of Fang Shenyan, the Guangzhou Maritime Customs Commissioner - one of the only two surviving epitaphs of Maritime Customs Commissioners from the Song Dynasty unearthed in China.
