Agnes @ Sacred Heart Cathedral in Guangzhou

Guangzhou has been at the mercy of extreme weather for over a month, but the upside is that there are far fewer tourists, as everyone wants to avoid the stormy season. During the Canton Fair, I took a business trip to Guangzhou and took some time to visit the Sacred Heart Cathedral, a touch of Guangzhou's romance... Because of the reasons mentioned earlier, there was no need to queue at all, and I just walked right in. Located in Yuexiu, the old district of Guangzhou, the cathedral stands on the street without feeling out of place, as if it naturally comes into view like walking on the streets of Europe. The cathedral is not particularly large, but once inside, volunteers were explaining a lot about the Catholic background, how to visit, and how to view each Bible story. Looking up at the ceiling of the cathedral is also a beautiful piece of art. Unfortunately, it was overcast that day, and there was no sunlight streaming in, but I imagine it would be beautiful. It can't be compared with the Sagrada Familia, but it's a beauty unique to Guangzhou. There's a small garden around the perimeter where you can also take a stroll. After leaving, there's a dessert shop nearby with Zhao's traditional sweets to try, and the taste is quite good.
