The Museum of the Nanyue King

The Museum of the Nanyue King is a large archaeological site museum based on the important archaeological remains of the Nanyue Kingdom, divided into two exhibition areas: the royal tomb and the royal palace. The royal palace exhibition area is located on Beijing Road in Yuexiu District, Guangzhou City, Guangdong Province, and was formerly known as the Nanyue Royal Palace Museum. The royal palace exhibition area centers around the ruins of the Nanyue Kingdom's palace complex, consisting of the Nanyue Garden Museum, the Southern Han Palace Museum, the Exhibition Building, and the Ancient Well Museum. The basic display is titled 'Lingnan's Central Region over Two Millennia,' with four permanent exhibitions: 'The Nanyue Royal Palace,' 'The Southern Han Royal Palace,' 'Two Thousand Years of the Famous City Guangzhou,' and 'Thinking of the Source When Drinking Water - The Culture of Ancient Wells in Guangzhou.' The palace complex ruins of the Nanyue Kingdom are the most central area of Panyu City, where palaces, palace walls, gardens, and other relics have been successively discovered, and a large number of bricks, tiles, stones, and other building materials, as well as wooden slips and pottery inscriptions, have been unearthed as important cultural relics.
