Relax and explore Guangzhou citywalk, don't miss it as you pass by

After visiting Guangzhou during the Spring Festival, I was overwhelmed by the dazzling array of food and fun, not knowing where to start. Following a local friend's recommendation, I visited the Shamiexiguan area, where I saw the old Guangzhou arcade buildings, got a taste of the romantic atmosphere in the embassy district, sampled Xiguan snacks, and immersed myself in the local street culture. So today, I'm here to specially recommend this relaxing and experiential citywalk route. ♥️ Main route: No matter where you start from—take a taxi to Shamian—check in at the two churches on Shamian—enjoy the scenery of White Swan Pond (White Swan Hotel)—🚗 take the Xiguan style bus to Enning Road—Liwan Lake—Yongqing Square 🕒🕒 Tour time: About 3 hours, reserve half a day for a pure walking experience without taking a car 📷📷 Highlights: 1. Shamian The renovated Shamian is much more beautiful than before, with ancient trees and a variety of embassy district buildings, galleries, cafes, and grocery stores worth taking your time to explore. Highly recommend the pigeon at Lan Kwai Fong and the taste of the intangible cultural heritage ceiling. Also highly recommend the buffet at White Swan, great value for money. 2. Liwan Lake Here you can see well-preserved Xiguan old houses, and hidden in the alleys are some delicious dessert shops. Plus, Liwan Lake is not crowded now, so don't miss it if you like taking photos. 3. Yongqing Square A newly built park that brings together many things from Lingnan culture, suitable for children to learn and immerse in traditional customs. However, it's also a new internet-famous spot, so there are quite a lot of people. Among them, Bruce Lee's former residence and the Cantonese Culture Museum are the most worthwhile. Highly recommend the double-layer milk and ginger milk from Nanxin, as well as morning tea at Taotaoju.
