My Life FIRST|Fanghu in Guanghan, Free Attraction (3)

📍Attraction Address: No. 68, Section 2, South Wuchang Road, Guanghan City, Deyang City, Sichuan Province 🚗Attraction Transportation: We drove ourselves, which is quite convenient. 👍️Attraction: The west gate of Fanghu Park is the battlement gate of the ancient city of Luocheng. The battlements stretch for 500 meters, and the city tower has three layers, towering majestically with golden tiles shining and eaves pillars flowing with red, presenting a solemn and grand appearance. The park is dotted with various attractions. Lingxing Gate, located north of the Lotus Pond, is a stone archway originally built in front of the Confucian Temple. It stands 8 meters high and 14 meters wide, consisting of six pillars with sculpted lion stone drums at the base. The gate features three overlapping eaves and nearly 200 relief carvings of birds, animals, flowers, fruits, and cloud patterns. Among these, the "Eight Steeds" is the most exquisite, a treasure of Chinese carving art. The original painting was a treasured imitation of Zhao Mengfu's "Eight Steeds" by local Zhang Bangshen, and the carvings were done by renowned stonemasons Ning and Yin of western Sichuan. The three characters "Lingxing Gate" were inscribed by Qing Dynasty calligrapher Zhang Huaisi, a local. Hence, Lingxing Gate is praised as one of the "Three Wonders of Shu". The Lotus Pond, originally Fanghu Lake, was excavated when the famous Tang Dynasty minister Fang was demoted to the magistrate of Hanzhou. The pavilions, terraces, bamboo groves, and trees along the lakeshore were places where Fang rested and where literati and poets gathered to drink and compose poetry. The water surface of the Lotus Pond is about 13,000 square meters, with a zigzag corridor over the water, reflecting sunlight and shimmering waves. The corridor leads to the "Yinbi Pavilion" in the center of the lake. Resting in the pavilion, one feels refreshed and invigorated. Looking around from the railing, one can see the entire pond covered in green, with pink lotuses emerging from the water, resembling graceful fairies gazing around with beautiful eyes. When a breeze arises, it stirs up green waves and brings the fragrance of lotuses. Here, one can fully appreciate the delicate, elegant, and noble beauty of the lotuses. There is a small stone arch bridge in the lake, leading west to the "Garden" and east to the Green Mountain. From the "Fang Pavilion" at the mountain top, one can enjoy a panoramic view of the park. 🎟️Ticket Information: No reservation required, free admission 💗Other Tips: Guanghan Confucian Temple, Luocheng Ruins, and Fanghu Lake are all together, so you can visit them all at once.
