The Eiger Express Cable Car in Grindelwald, Switzerland

The fastest way to reach Jungfraujoch from Grindelwald is by taking the Eiger Express cable car from Grindelwald First station and then transferring to a train. Each cable car cabin can accommodate over 20 people, but due to the limited seating on the mountain train, the cable cars are rarely full. In the morning, sitting on the left side of the cable car offers views of the north face of the Eiger, while the right side provides a view of the Grindelwald valley. Although the mountain slope view might seem more appealing, keep in mind that the morning sun shines on the Eiger side, making it brighter and more challenging for photography due to backlighting and glare. Therefore, it is recommended to sit on the right side (near the door) for a more comfortable experience.
