We flew from Madrid to Gran Canaria, a relatively large Spanish island. The capital city of Las Palmas is a popular holiday destination for Europeans and British people. There is also a beach called Playa del lngles in the south. We rented a car, which was not too expensive. The island is relatively large, so it is more convenient to have a car. The weather here is pleasant all year round, and the people are warm and hospitable.
