Tiny Astronauts of Kaluga 🧑‍🚀

Meet the Kaluga “cosmonautiks” – small, charming astronaut figurines scattered all over the city of Kaluga. They were created by local sculptor Alina Farniyeva, and they’ve quietly become a local signature. There are more than 30 of these characters in Kaluga, each with its own story. In my photos you can spot a doctor, a theatre-lover, a race driver (yes, that’s The Stig from Top Gear!), a graduate, a romantic couple near the registry office, a builder, a girl with flowers, an eye doctor and even some “Kaluga dough” eaters. #russia #thingstodo #couplestrip
