Two days and one night in Cappadocia, a dream date with hot air balloons and caves

Arriving in Cappadocia, Turkey, is like walking into a surreal dream. During this two-day and one-night trip, I danced with the hot air balloon in the morning light and slept in the thousand-year-old cave at night, as if traveling through time and space. Day 1｜Exploring the Cave Town Upon arrival, check into a traditional cave hotel. The stone walls and arches will make you feel like you are in a historical theater. Then stroll through the pottery town of Avanos, visit a century-old pottery workshop, and experience the fun of pottery making by hand. In the afternoon, we visited Uçhisar Castle. From the top, we could see the entire rock formation as spectacular as the surface of the moon. In the evening, take a walk in Pigeon Valley and see hundreds of ancient pigeon houses dotting the cliffs. It is super romantic to take photos. After enjoying a traditional Turkish meal at night, return to the cave hotel to enjoy the tranquility of the starry night sky. Day 2｜Dreamlike hot air balloon morning glow We were woken up before dawn and boarded a colorful hot air balloon which slowly ascended into the sky, giving us a bird's eye view of the entire rocky valley. When the golden sunlight shone on the ground, I really held my breath at that moment and just wanted to keep this picture in my heart. After the flight, return to the hotel to enjoy a hearty breakfast, then go to Camel Rock to take photos with the fairy chimneys to end this dreamlike journey. The beauty of Cappadocia cannot be described in a single language.
