Longyangxia

Longyangxia Scenic Area is located in Qinghai Province. Departing from Xining by car, after getting off the highway and crossing Riyue Mountain, drive towards Longyangxia. The road passes through vast grasslands, with sheep herds like floating clouds and galloping horses on both sides. After entering the scenic area, the first attraction is the Yellow River Grand Canyon, known as the 'Plateau Ancient Waterway'. The canyon is flanked by a forest built of loess, which is a unique soil forest landscape in the northwest, with peculiar and mysterious soil pillars. On National Highway 310, there is a cliff with steep cliffs, where you can overlook the Longyang Grand Canyon. The contours of the earth here are uncarved by man, a natural wonder. There is also a Longyangxia viewing platform on the road, with a wide view, where you can see the first large-scale step power station on the upper reaches of the Yellow River, the Longyangxia Hydropower Station, and the Longyangxia Reservoir. This is the production base of rainbow trout and a paradise for many fishing enthusiasts.
