Hoh Xil is not welcoming you at all.

Hoh Xil boasts a typical and complete alpine ecosystem, featuring various vegetation types such as alpine meadows, alpine grasslands, alpine swamp meadows, alpine sparse vegetation, alpine desert shrubs, and alpine deserts. The vast swamps developed in the permafrost and island permafrost zones are the highest-altitude and largest wetlands in the world. Since September 2009, the water of Zhuonai Lake has continuously overflowed due to ecological changes, flowing southeast for nearly 300 kilometers to form a river 30 to 50 meters wide and 20 to 30 meters deep. This has connected Zhuonai Lake with Kusai Lake and Haidingnuo'er Lake, submerging nearly a hundred small lakes and forming a new lake covering approximately 200 square kilometers. When you visit Hoh Xil, you realize the greatness of life and how fragile the ecosystem is—it’s not distant but closely tied to us. Any irresponsible exploitation of resources and disruption of balance will backfire, causing irreversible and severe impacts on ourselves.
