Traditional medicine village Dongeuibogam

Several hundred years ago when medication knowledge is not advanced, how does people seek cure for the illness? They very much depend of local apothecary to dispense herbal medicine. In the village of Samcheong there lies a village with a traditional hospital called Dongeuibogum, means the Eastern medical formula. The founder is called Heo Jun who specializes in traditional medicine and he has made many formulas and titrations on types of herbal medicines for different disease. in order to commemorate his contributions the villages erected a memorial hall for him, and with his disciples knowledge the village evolved to a medicinal village for all who seeks cure. #fallingforfall#tripblazers
