Come to the Gero Onsen Gassho Village to see the architectural cultural heritage exhibition

Gero Onsen Gassho Village is a village recreated by 10 gassho-style houses moved from places like Shirakawa Village, led by the 'Old Otu House', a nationally designated important cultural property of Japan. It is a precious open-air museum for understanding the lives of the residents at that time. In the Gassho Village, the interior landscape of the old Iwasaki family (Folklore Museum), a tangible cultural property of Japan, and the old Toyama family (Itakura) are displayed. There are also workshops where you can participate in ceramic art or washi paper painting experiences, restaurants where you can taste Hida's delicacies, and the 'Four Seasons Forest' behind the mountain where you can enjoy cherry blossoms and autumn leaves. The Gassho Village, which still inherits the simple quality of Hida people, is a 'spiritual home' that makes people feel warm. Every season of the year, it presents different scenery, cherry blossoms are in full bloom, grass is fragrant, autumn wind is dawn, winter snow is white. Whether it's wandering between various shrines or resting in different tea rooms, it's a great experience. You can also soak your feet in the Gassho foot bath to soothe your tired body.
