Cantonese-style Shortcrust Pastry

Ming Xiang Tai Pastry(名香泰饼家) is located at Jalan Penang, George Town. Started business in 2008, they had 2 branches, one at Jalan Burma and another at Gat Lebuh Armenian, both in George Town too. When i passed by the shop, always tempted by warm, buttery smell of the pastry, the golden brown Cantonese-style shortcrust pastries in the display counter make me mouth-watering. My favourite are Trishaw Egg-tart(most popular item), Chicken Floss pastry, Durian pastry and Pandan Salted-egg pastry, they were tasty, crispy & less sweeten! I admired their nostalgic atmosphere, the 70's decor and playing with classic songs. Most tourists buy the pastries as souvenir for family and friends, well... price is affordable and their souvenir box is very presentable. Online rated 4.5/5.
