Four nights and five days, panoramic view of Penang

We stayed in Penang for four nights, which is longer than most tourists would stay. Just like that, we all felt that the trip was too short and we didn’t have enough fun. Although taking more than 20,000 steps a day is really a bit tiring, we are still happy in pain. During the five days, we went up the mountains (Penang Hill + Kek Lok Si Temple) and down to the sea (Batu Ferringhi Beach), but our favorite thing was wandering around the old town of George Town. The various architectural forms and colors fully stimulate the secretion of dopamine. The murals on the streets and alleys are vivid, interesting, literary and romantic, and often bring unexpected surprises. The diverse cultures that are both familiar and unfamiliar are a bit overwhelming for us. The simple, kind and cultured folk customs make people feel relaxed and comfortable. As for the Guangdong and Fujian cuisines that are popular among many tourists, I really can’t say much about them. Compared with the authentic Chaoshan, Shunde, Quanzhou, etc., the gap is quite big. In addition, because we are not very keen on Southeast Asian cuisine, we only had a brief taste of Malay and Nyonya cuisine. Of course, the food here also has an advantage that cannot be ignored, the price is affordable! Here is our approximate itinerary: DAY 1. Wander around the old town and eat delicious food, check in Lebuh Muntri, Love Lane, Cathedral, Little India, Shantou Street Night Market, stay overnight in George Town DAY 2. In the morning, continue to walk around the old town and go shopping, check in the mural street area, climb Penang Hill in the afternoon to overlook the panoramic view of Penang Island, stay in Ayer Itam DAY 3. Visit Kek Lok Si Temple in the morning, walk along Ferringhi Beach in the afternoon to watch the sunset, visit the night market, and stay in Batu Ferringhi DAY 4. Visit the Tropical Spice Garden in the morning, check in the Floating Mosque, Niu Gan Dong Street, the Overseas Chinese Nyonya Museum, Bank Street, the Surname Bridge, visit the night market, and stay in George Town in the afternoon DAY 5. Stroll through the old town in the morning, check in at the Blue House, Lotus River Road, and New Street, and fly to Kuala Lumpur in the afternoon
