Charming village next to Genova

#mediterranean #liguria #genoa #italy Visiting Boccadasse felt like stepping into a completely different rhythm from the rest of Genoa. It’s a tiny old fishing village tucked right into the edge of the city, but it still feels like its own little world. The pastel-colored houses are all packed together around a small pebble beach, and there’s always a mix of locals chatting, kids playing, and people sitting on the rocks with gelato or a drink. I walked there along Corso Italia, which already puts you in a calm mood, and arriving in Boccadasse just adds to it. There’s not much to “do” in the checklist sense — just wander the narrow lanes, grab a coffee or gelato, and enjoy the atmosphere. I found a quiet spot on the rocks and stayed there for a while just watching the sea and the light change on the buildings. It’s a place where you don’t really need a plan. Just showing up and sitting there for a bit is kind of the whole point. Definitely worth the walk, and I ended up going back more than once.
