Dajin Temple: Worth a visit

Recently, we visited the Dajin Temple located 28 kilometers away from the county town of Ganzi County in the Ganzi Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture on National Highway 317. According to the records, 'Dajin Temple' means a prosperous and auspicious continent, commonly known as 'Xingwang Temple'. It belongs to the Gelug sect of Tibetan Buddhism and has a history of more than 600 years. From a distance, the temple is built against the mountain, with a majestic appearance; the golden dome of the temple and the double deer wheel, among others, shine brightly. Upon closer inspection, the main hall is modeled after the Jokhang Temple in Lhasa, with a reinforced concrete structure, one ground floor and three upper floors. After the visit, I felt that this temple has a profound cultural heritage. It enshrines the statues of Tsongkhapa, the founder of the Gelug sect of Tibetan Buddhism, and his two great disciples—the Dalai Lama and the Panchen Lama, making it worth a visit.
