There is a peculiar landscape in Ganzhou, Jiangxi Province, which is a pontoon outside the ancient city wall. In the past, many riverside cities have pontoons, but with the construction of the city, many pontoons have been demolished, and the pontoon bridges in Zhangzhou have not been preserved. In the old city of Zhangzhou, walk along the ancient city wall to Jianchunmen, you will see this pontoon. The pontoon was built in the Song Dynasty (1163-1173) and has existed for more than 800 years. It is not only a bridge across the river, but also a free and open tourist attraction. The pontoon is about 400 meters long and is supported by a small boat. Three boats are fixed in one group. A total of about 100 boats form the pontoon. This year's Fuqiao is full of people coming and going. Many tourists come here and take a walk around the pontoon to experience the history of the 800-year history of Zhangzhou. Several fishing boats are parked along the pontoon to sell a variety of fish. The old city of Zhangzhou faces the water. There were three pontoons in Zhangzhou, namely Donghe, Xihe and Nanhe pontoons. Later, because of the construction of the highway bridge, the Xihe River and the Nanhe pontoon were demolished, and only the current Donghe pontoon was preserved, which is even more precious. The towering and simple Jianchun Gate is on the riverside. The ancient city wall of Luzhou is the only preserved ancient city wall in the Northern Song Dynasty.
