Gangneung Bawoo-gil... Trekking around Jeongdongjin area..

Gangneung Bawoo-gil is a trekking course with a total length of 350 km, connecting the East Sea from Baekdudaegan centered around the Gangneung area, including Gyeongpo (鏡浦) and Jeongdongjin (正東津). It consists of 16 sections of Gangneung Bawoo-gil, 2 sections of Daegwallyeong Bawoo-gil [Daegwallyeong National Forest Trail, Daegwallyeong Snow Flower Village Trail], Ultra Bawoo-gil, and Valley Bawoo-gil. 'Bawoo' refers to rocks in the Gangwon Province dialect, and thus 'Bawoo-gil' is a term affectionately used to describe the trekking course centered around Gangneung. Additionally, the name 'Bawoo-gil' was inspired by the goddess 'Bau' from Babylonian mythology, who could heal serious illnesses with just a single touch, expressing the hope that everyone who walks this path will become healthy.
