There are three places where you can swim at Jeongdongjin: the sea in front of Jeongdongjin Station, the sea in front of the Hourglass Park, and the sea where the Jeongdongjin breakwater is located. The beaches that are wide and easy to use are the one in front of Jeongdongjin Station and the sea in front of Hourglass Park. The Hourglass Park illuminates day and night, and to the south, there is a tourist attraction with the Sculpture (Sunrise) Park and the Hwunhwaro. In particular, in front of Jeongdongjin Station, there are many rocks where you can pick clams, mussels, seaweed, and sea urchins, which is why many people visit. Since the operation of the Jeongdongjin Sunrise Tourist Train in 1997, it has rapidly become popular, and tourists flock there all summer long.
