In Botswana, Africa, visit the largest and best university, equivalent to Tsinghua and Peking University in China. The University of Botswana, also known as UB, is the first public comprehensive university in Botswana, established in 1964 through the cooperation of Botswana, Lesotho, and Swaziland to form a joint university. In 1982, the joint university was dissolved, and the University of Botswana was officially founded. The University of Botswana has three campuses: the main campus is located in the capital city, Gaborone, which is the campus visited in this article. Additionally, the university has campuses in Francistown and Maun; the various disciplines are distributed across eight faculties, including the Business School, Education School, Engineering School, Humanities School, Pharmacy School, Natural Sciences School, Social Sciences School, and the Sir Ketumile Masire Teaching Hospital. Furthermore, in November 2008, the University of Botswana and Shanghai Normal University jointly established the Confucius Institute at the University of Botswana, which officially started enrolling students in July 2009, providing Chinese language education to Botswana students.
