Hiking up Gushan for a panoramic view of Fuzhou City

Although there is a cable car available, I chose to hike up the mountain. There are three routes to ascend, and I opted for the ancient trail, which spans 1.8 kilometers with over 2,000 winding stone steps. Along the way, I encountered quite a few middle-aged and elderly people exercising. However, after entering the Shibajing Scenic Area through the west gate (the information indicated a ticket price of ¥10, but there was no one at the entrance to collect payment), I had the place entirely to myself, as I didn’t come across any other tourists. This was likely due to the intermittent wind and rain that had started, making the distant view appear like a white wall. Fortunately, when I reached the viewing platform, the clouds and mist cleared, allowing me to take in a full panoramic view of Fuzhou City. I initially planned to continue to Yongquan Temple for a visit, but as I approached the temple, the wind and rain suddenly intensified, making it difficult to even hold up my umbrella. I decided to head back down the mountain instead, taking the Songzhi Lian Trail, which is 1.5 kilometers long and also features over 2,000 steps leading downward.
