It was my first time traveling to Fuquan, Guizhou, and I was surprised by how much I got out of the trip. I visited Fuquan Mountain, where Zhang Sanfeng once practiced Taoism, checked in at Taiji Palace, known as the "Little Forbidden City of the South," strolled through the beautiful ancient city of Fuquan, walked across Gejing Bridge, which was built by Gejing, who spent all his money on it, stayed at Pingle Post Station, where Wang Yangming stayed for 8 days, and ate delicious Fuquan farmhouse dishes... It was a great experience. Especially Gejing Bridge, which was the biggest highlight of the trip. According to the stone tablet at the bridgehead, Gejing was a Ming Dynasty man who spent all his money and 30 years building the bridge to connect the north and south banks, allowing people on both sides of the cliff to travel freely. The key point is that this ancient bridge is still in use today, which shows how good the quality of the bridge is. No wonder the famous expert Mao Yisheng said, "There is Zhaozhou Bridge in the north and Gejing Bridge in the south." Fuquan has a wealth of tourism resources, and the ancient city ruins in the city are also a highlight of the trip. In addition to the steep city walls, there are four city gates in the east, south, west, and north, all of which are 600 years old. The most impressive is Fuquan Water City, which is close to the river. It is a "National Key Cultural Relics Protection Unit" and consists of the inner city, water city, outer city, and three city walls. It is a defensive walled city with military and livelihood value. The Sha River flows past the city gate and slowly seeps into the inner city well through the stone crevices. This not only solves the daily drinking water needs of people and animals in the city, but also ensures that the city will not be abandoned due to lack of water when besieged by enemies. It also filters out any poison that enemies may throw into the water source, fully reflecting the wisdom of the ancient people of Fuquan. Tip: Fuquan is easily accessible, with trains from Guiyang every day. After arriving at Fuquan Station, there is a direct shuttle bus to the scenic spots.
