Jingdezhen in late autumn, four days and three nights itinerary: Yaoli Ancient Town

This year's final trip was in Jingdezhen, Jiangxi Province. It was late autumn, so I took my mother with me. My children happened to be at home, so I accompanied my grandmother on the trip. I was very lucky. On the first day, we set out from Yangzhou at around seven in the morning, crossed the border of Anhui, had lunch at the Huizhou Ancient City Service Area, and arrived in Yaoli after about six hours. There was a section of mountain road, but fortunately it was not the peak season, so there were not many vehicles. After resting for a while in the B&B, we went for a stroll in the ancient town. The temperature was also mild in the afternoon. There were few tourists in the ancient town. Local residents were going about their daily lives, and painters of all ages were sketching. The forests in late autumn are beautiful with the interweaving of green, yellow and red colors, and the gurgling Yao River exudes a sense of leisure. We had dinner at Yaoli Shanhe Cai by the Yao River. My mother unexpectedly met a colleague she hadn't seen for years. The local delicacies included castor bean curd, stir-fried pork with dried chilies, and braised pork with dried bamboo shoots. Even though the dishes were large in quantity, they were basically all left on the plate. There was only one alkaline rice cake, which was not to our taste. After dinner, the lights were already on and the ancient town had a different flavor at night. The next morning, the rooster crowed, but actually it had already crowed in the middle of the night [Facepalm]. But the most wonderful moment came when I encountered Yaoli Ancient Town: the sky was blue, and the mist and rain came, giving me the feeling of blue and white porcelain.
