Miyajidake Shrine in Fukuoka

Climbing the stairs of the approach to Miyajidake Shrine, you can overlook the straight path that stretches all the way to the sea. Every year in late February and late October, the setting sun illuminates this straight approach, making it appear like a path of light, which has now become a famous spot known as the 'Path of Light'. Originally, it was not a place frequented by many tourists, so there are not many tourist attractions or restaurants nearby. Even if you do not visit during the time when the Path of Light is visible, the rare sight of the straight approach leading all the way to the sea is worth seeing, and you will not regret visiting during the less crowded times. Access is recommended by taxi from JR Kagoshima Main Line 'Fukuma Station'. Since there are not many buses, it is also a good idea to call a taxi for your return trip to the station.
