Fukuoka Art Museum

#fukuokatrip I came initially for the Yayoi Kusuma pumpkin, and became pleasantly surprised with the old and contemparary Japanese artwork on display, particularly the woman shooting out cherry blossoms! It is a compact museum, just right for a leisurely experience. There was also a nice student art showcase (always good to support youth and the art)! For ¥200 this place wayyyy over delivers. You can do the whole thing in an hour if you are in a hurry. There's even a yayoi piece located outside that you can see for free. Many of the exhibits do not allow photos but the ones that do still have signs posted.
