[Fukui] A rental house in Fukui surrounded by the sea and tranquility

We stayed at a private lodge called "Tenkei," located in a small coastal community called Iguramachi in Fukui City, Fukui Prefecture. Surrounded by quiet houses and fields, the lodge boasts a glass-walled facade and a spectacular view of the Sea of Japan. Time passed in luxury, with the only sound being the crashing waves. This former dormitory, the #FukuiHotel, was renovated and now only accepts one group per day, accommodating a maximum of six guests. The interior features a warm, wood-infused design, creating a simple yet cozy atmosphere. There are two bedrooms on the second floor, making it perfect for friends or families. Since we could use the kitchen, we bought local sashimi from a nearby shop and enjoyed dinner overlooking the ocean. The greatest draw of this lodge is the relaxed atmosphere, without having to worry about time. 📍Address: 38-2 Iguramachi, Fukui City, Fukui Prefecture About a 50-minute drive from Fukui Station. Renting a car is recommended. 🌿 Recommended Activities ・Check in early and enjoy a book or nap while gazing at the ocean. ・Purchase ingredients at the local supermarket and fishmonger and cook your own meals. ・Depending on the season, we recommend taking a walk along the coastline, where daffodils bloom. This is the perfect place for those who enjoy doing nothing, rather than focusing on sightseeing.
