Senjojiki Beach

One of the scenic spots on the west coast, this unique sight of rocks rising above the sea level stretches for about 12km, unlike anything you've ever seen before. You can also enjoy the scenery on the Resort Shirakami cruising train on the JR Gono Line, which travels slowly around Senjojiki. The Japan Sea side is one of the most beautiful coasts, as the sun sets into the sea, making the sky and sea glow red. It is said that these rocks were formed by the uplift of the coast due to an earthquake about 200 years ago. It is also a mecca for swimming beaches and campsites.
