Fuji adventure alert

Fuji adventure alert! 🌸🗻 This guide covers Lasa, Fujiyoshida, and Fujikawaguchiko, spotlighting epic views, must-eat comfort food, and genius roadtrip hacks. The best part? You’ll get that iconic Mt. Fuji shot without fighting through crowds! Top Spots to Visit: 1. Arakurayama Sengen Park Observation Deck (3360 Shimoyoshida, Fujiyoshida, Yamanashi 403-0004) – Open 24/7! This is THE place for Fuji+pagoda Instagram magic, especially during cherry blossom season. 2. Kawaguchiko Tenjoyama Park (1163-1 Azagawa, Fujikawaguchiko, Yamanashi 401-0303) – Open 9:00–17:00. Take the ropeway up for drop-dead gorgeous lake views of Mt. Fuji. 3. Kosaku Hoto Kosaku, Kawaguchiko (1638-1 Fujikawaguchiko, Minamitsuru-cho, Yamanashi Funatsu 401-0301) – Classic spot for hearty houtou noodles. Trust me, slurp up this local specialty after all that hiking. 🍜 Insider tip: Ditch the trains/buses and rent a car for your Fuji trip. 🚗 It saves loads of time and lets you take detours for local treats—roadside strawberries are a win! Arakura shrine and Tenjoyama Park are absolute musts for both first-timers and serial Japan travelers. Getting Around: Rental car is king here; parking is easy at major attractions. For navigation, Google Maps is a lifesaver. Food: Kosaku Hoto Kosaku is your noodle HQ. Also, grab fresh strawberries from roadside stands—they taste like candy and make for the best snack on the go! Destination Hacks: Weather can shift quickly—bring layers. No visa needed for most tourists, cash is handy for tolls and produce stalls. All main spots accept credit cards. #fujiviews #yamanashieats #japanroadtrip

Japan Journey Review: Epic sights in Fujiyoshida

Calling all Fuji fans and nature chasers: here’s my must-hit guide to Fujiyoshida!

Lake Kawaguchi

Lake Kawaguchi, part of the Fuji Five Lakes, is one of the best places to see Mount Fuji up close. On a clear day, the mountain reflects perfectly on the lake, and the view honestly feels like stepping into a postcard. The vibe here is peaceful and slow-paced—perfect if you need a break from Japan’s big cities. You can walk or cycle around the lakeshore, take a short boat ride, or ride the Mount Tenjo ropeway for sweeping views. Each season adds its own beauty: cherry blossoms in spring, fiery leaves in autumn, and snow framing Fuji in winter. One of the best experiences is staying in a ryokan or hot spring hotel with a Fuji-facing view. Soaking in an onsen while watching the mountain is unforgettable. Even if you don’t stay overnight, there are public baths and foot onsens where you can still enjoy it.

Mt. Fuji Panoramic Ropeway

This trip to Lake Kawaguchi was a true visual and culinary delight. The date "2024/11/15" printed on my cable car ticket indicated that I was visiting in early autumn, with the mountain's maple leaves turning golden and orange, adding a vibrant hue to the landscape. From the cabin of the "Fuji Panorama Ropeway," I gazed down at Lake Kawaguchi below. The lake was as calm as a mirror, with the occasional boat slowly passing by and a bridge spanning the lake in the distance, creating a beautiful scene. As the cable car ascended, I captured photos of the tower and the oncoming cars, appreciating the unique charm of this aerial journey. Upon reaching the summit, my greatest awe was the breathtaking panorama of Mount Fuji. Though lightly shrouded in mist, I could still see the pristine white snow atop the summit and the expansive cityscape below. I particularly like one photo: the beauty of Mount Fuji framed by a Japanese torii lantern with the words "Kawaguchiko" written on it, brimming with Japanese charm. At the summit, I also walked a short distance along the trail. The steps were covered in fallen leaves, and the trees on either side were ablaze with autumn colors. Walking along it was a leisurely and peaceful experience. After descending the mountain, I sampled local specialties. The steaming hot "houtou" (hot spring rolls) simmered in a clay pot, with pumpkin, shiitake mushrooms, vegetables, and thick noodles, complemented by a miso broth base, was incredibly appetizing. I also spotted fresh green grapes at a roadside stall. They looked juicy and plump, priced at around 1,000 yen, and I imagine they must have been incredibly delicious. The photos from this trip not only captured the spectacular views from the Mount Fuji cable car, but also the natural beauty of Lake Kawaguchiko, the poetic trails along the summit, and the local specialties. It was a journey filled with wonderful memories. #TenkyousanPark #Kawaguchiko
