Sneak peek into the "Flying Strawberry" experience

We went to "Flying Strawberry Tokyo" in Fuchu City, which is promoting itself as a strawberry picking spot that can be reached by train from the city center. What does "flying" mean? The plant is suspended in the air by a machine, and the ground is concrete. This means that you don't hurt your back when picking strawberries, and you don't have to worry about getting your shoes dirty. This strawberry farm does not offer all-you-can-eat service, but 200g is included in the price. 200g is about 10-12 medium-sized strawberries? They measured the weight along the way and told us how many grams were left, so we added more. Please note that you cannot return what you have already picked. Anything over the limit is 450 yen per 100g, so other people picked nearly double the amount to take home as souvenirs, but since we were four people, we went and tried to get the maximum of 799g. You can eat these strawberries at the table under the plant. There were four kinds of strawberries available today, and we compared them. The fully ripe strawberries were really juicy and sweet. The "Yotsuboshi" brand was especially delicious. With all-you-can-drink soft drinks, it was a worthwhile experience for 1,800 yen.
