He loves all people universally, so he immerses himself among them, appreciating their loveliness and their customs." Freiburg is located at the northwestern foot of the Alps. According to the influence of geography on different groups of people, the races living south of the mountains are mostly enthusiastic and cheerful, and if they face the sea, they are even more unrestrained and free; while those living north of the mountains are mostly calm, gentle, and patient. As the saying goes: The environment shapes the people. After being away for a long time, sometimes sitting by the window looking at the western hills, I can't help but ask myself what it is about Freiburg that attracts me. Is it the streets and churches, or the blue sky and white clouds of the Black Forest? Is it the affluent yet simple folk customs, or the beautiful women? The streets there are no different from other small and medium-sized cities in Germany; the churches are not as magnificent as Cologne Cathedral; the blue sky and white clouds are certainly not as pure as those on the Tibetan Plateau; and the simplicity is not as pure as that of the farmers in the countryside. But when all these seemingly ordinary factors come together just right, it's like the currently popular second-glance, third-glance beauty.
