Garden of the Groves, Bahamas

If you find yourself in Freeport in the Bahamas, you can of course spend the day by the beach. However, there is more to the island than just the beaches. The Garden of the Groves would be a perfect place to spend a few hours. The Garden of the Groves is a botanical garden showcasing all kinds of tropical plants, from palm trees to wild flowers. The trees will give you some shade to protect against the sun. Dotted around the garden are little ponds and a few hills. One of the hills has an old church on top as well. Besides plants you can also find plenty of wildlife attracted to the flowers. There are loads of birds around. I even saw a hummingbird.
