The Foshan Ancestral Temple is a great place to watch lion dances during the New Year.

The Foshan Ancestral Temple has a long history. It was first built during the Yuanfeng period of the Northern Song Dynasty and completed in the early Qing Dynasty. It is called the Ancestral Temple because it is the oldest and most important temple in Foshan. The best seats are in the front row directly facing the stage. Don't sit on the small benches on the side.
