Once a gathering place for Foshan literati: Longtang Poetry Society

☘️Longtang Poetry Society is located in Lingnan Tiandi, Chancheng District, Foshan City, Guangdong Province. It was built in the early years of the Republic of China. It was originally the private garden of Li Zhaoji, the founder of the Chinese medicine shop Li Zhongsheng Tang. Later, the owner donated the garden as a gathering place for Foshan literati. 🌾The main building of the poetry society is a two-story brick and wood structure combining Chinese and Western styles. The hard mountain roof, green bricks and wood, Roman columns, and Manchurian windows all exude a sense of grandeur.
