Cantonese Opera Grand View Garden

The Cantonese Opera Grand View Garden is located in the Guihai Fangcong Scenic Area on the west side of the archway of Shunfengshan Park in Shunde District, Foshan City, Guangdong Province. It integrates two great treasures of Cantonese art, Cantonese opera and Lingnan gardens, incorporating traditional cultural elements such as Cantonese opera into the park's antique architectural complex, showcasing the development history of Cantonese opera in Shunde. The architectural style of the entire Cantonese Opera Grand View Garden is highly characteristic of Lingnan, with courtyards connected yet relatively independent, composed of Qionghua Building, Jiqing Pavilion, Bahe Hall, Huancui Hall, Lingyi Tea House, Xizhuang Bieyuan, Luanyu Pavilion, Shunfu Stage, Quxiang Style Corridor, and Hongdou Bin Fen Film Corridor, forming the 'Ten Scenes' of the Cantonese Opera Grand View Garden. The Grand View Garden narrates the changes of Cantonese opera from ancient times to the present, the performance forms, costumes and props, classic famous plays, and famous Shunde performers, demonstrating the development history of Cantonese opera in Shunde. Inside the garden, there is the Shunfu Stage, which is made in reference to traditional Cantonese opera stages, available for Cantonese opera enthusiasts to hold private performances.
