Scotland’s Jacobite Train

One of the best experiences in the highlands of Scotland is the Jacobite steam train or as a lot of people call it, the Harry Potter train. From Fort William to Mallaig and back, the trip takes about 6hours and runs twice a day in the main season, hauled by the steam engine. Tickets sell so quick so book early. First class is worth the extra for a bit more luxury. You get a break in Mallaig to have a walk, grab lunch or some souvenirs. Really is a great day out.
