Discovering Finale Ligure

The long sandy beach is the main draw, lined with both private beach clubs and stretches of free beach, and it’s perfect for a relaxed swim or just sitting by the sea. The promenade is pleasant for a walk, with cafés and gelato shops where you can stop and watch the day go by. The old center of Finalpia is small but charming, with narrow streets, a few shops, and the Abbey of Santa Maria, which adds a touch of history to the area. What I liked was how balanced it felt — enough activity to keep it interesting, but not overwhelming. It’s the kind of place where you could easily spend a slow afternoon between the beach and a simple dinner nearby, enjoying the more laid-back side of Finale Ligure.
