4 Days 3 Nights in Switzerland: Jungfrau One-Day Tour (Part 2)

Day 3️⃣ First Mountain → Jungfrau → Geneva The highlight of the day: visiting two famous mountains! 07:40 Take the First cable car to start the mountain adventure (recommend arriving early to avoid queues) 🚡 First cable car departure: Firstbahn (a 5–10 minute walk from Grindelwald main station) . Morning at First Mountain: Since we had limited time, we chose a package ticket combining the cable car and one activity, costing 56 CHF (about 500 RMB). If you have more time, buying a package with the cable car plus multiple activities is more cost-effective than buying activities separately on the mountain. First, take the cable car up and try the mountain cart. Take the cable car to Schreckfeld station, then slide down all the way to Bort station, which takes about 20 minutes. Next, take the cable car to the final stop, then hike to Bachalpsee Lake (round trip about 5 km, takes 1.5 hours). On a clear day, the lake reflects the mountains beautifully—it's unbelievably stunning! Return to Grindelwald for lunch at noon. . Around 14:00, head to Jungfrau. If you have a Swiss Travel Pass, you can get a discount when buying tickets. It’s recommended to book in advance on the official website. Buying tickets offline usually includes round-trip train tickets from Grindelwald, which makes the price higher (don’t ask me how I know). 🚡 Take the Eiger Express cable car to Eigergletscher, then transfer to the mountain cogwheel train to reach Jungfrau summit (Top of Europe). If time and weather permit, consider taking the cable car up and the train down. But I, the “chosen lucky one,” encountered a huge hailstorm on the way up, couldn’t go out to take photos, and almost got stuck on the mountain 🥲. The ice house at the summit is super fun and very photogenic, but it’s recommended to wear a shell jacket plus an inner layer because it’s quite cold up there. Chocolate is handed out on the train down, and it tastes amazing—definitely worth commemorating separately. Around 7 PM, rushed to catch the last train to Geneva～🚄 Estimated travel time 4-5 hours. . 🏨 Stay at Crowne Plaza Geneva . Day 4️⃣ Geneva The last day is all about relaxing and taking it easy since there’s a flight to catch in the evening ✈️. Spend the day wandering casually. In the morning, went to an Asian buffet restaurant called Royal. Lunch was 39 CHF per person, and the food was amazing! As someone living in Europe, it’s rare to find satay beef, crayfish, and char siu buns as big as your hand—made me drool! After a full meal, in the afternoon, visited the United Nations building for a quick check-in, then went to Lake Geneva to soak up the sun and dip feet in the water. The sky was so blue it looked fake, and the clouds seemed photoshopped. The Swiss lifestyle is just too blissful!
