Southern Great Wall - How to

If you can't go north and visit the famous Great Wall. You still have a chance to visit it next to Fenghuan Old City. it is rather secluded so you'll need to hire a driver to take you back to the city. You need to buy tickets either online beforehand or at the small gate. They have a QR code you can use with Wechat. The tickets are 45 RMB for adults, 25 RMB for people over 65 or under 17. The entrance is free for children under 14 years of age. It'll take you about 25 min to get there from Fenghuang old city. It can be quite dirty because very few people come and visit. It is also a short portion of a wall. The climb is pretty steep though. It will take around 1 hour to see it all to the last tower. #thingstodo #familytravel #china #greatwall
